POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be involved, as an individual
contributor in the planning, design,
prototyping, documentation, test and
qualification of electronic designs for
high-reliability and high-performance electronic
medical devices. The person will lead a highly
skilled group of electronic engineers within the
R&D group. The candidate will be responsible for
providing and ensuring consistent project
planning, hardware development plans, FMEA and
SHA and design rigor throughout all projects
that is consistent with and in accordance with
FDA/QSR for Medical Devices.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Be an active participant in multi-disciplinary
product development teams
Lead a small team of electronic engineers
Ensure design test methodologies and
documentation meets product and standards
requirements.
Active assessment of project and teams needs
and gaps, and help resolve
Ensure consistency in design reviews,
verification and validation efforts
Active coordination with System Engineering
Group to ensure expectations are understood and
comply
Create metrics on tracking hardware effort,
resources, and effectiveness toward improving
product development cycles
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have successful
experience in design through product development
with proven ability to lead a small group of
electronic engineers. The candidate must have a
proven track record of successful project
deliverables within a multi-disciplined team
environment.
BS or MS degree in Electronic/Electrical
Engineering , plus a minimum of 5 years leading
design and development of digital and analog
circuitry.
Minimum of 3 years functional management
Solid experience in Product Development
Processes from design to manufacturing.
Strong written and verbal communication
skills.
Solid knowledge of Medical Device standards,
such as FDA's QSRs, ISO, IEC etc.
Experience with CAD tools
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience |
