Manager, Systems Engineering
The Systems Engineering Manager will lead a
small group of systems engineers. The function
will augment our Hardware and Software
engineering teams on new product developments
and lead in establishing the system
requirements, system specifications and system
architectures as well as the definition of
interfaces within the system. He/she will also
be involved in reviewing and approving systems
testing protocols and trouble shooting
activities during development. The successful
candidate is expected to generate innovative
ideas around the sensor-monitor system to
improve performance, ease-of-use, quality and
reliability. This group leader will assess
required skills and is expected to drive and
augment the team to meet all development
requirements and close skills gaps. The
successful candidate is expected to perform in a
creative, matrixed and cross-functional
environment and to be highly self motivated.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
• Define system architectures and modules
• Define module/component interfaces
• Develop error and performance budgets
• Drive the allocation of requirements towards
sensors, hardware or software
• Conduct FMEA and SHA (System Hazard Analysis)
• Ensure that product design meets applicable
medical device standards
• Lead a team of 4-5 systems engineers
• Identify skills gaps within engineering and
help to close
• Be part of multi-disciplinary product
development teams
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• BS or higher degree in an Engineering field
• 5+ years experience in systems engineering
• At least 2 years experience as a first level
manager. Minimum of 7 years of overall
experience with 5 successful years in
engineering leadership roles
• Solid knowledge of international and FDA
medical device standards.
• Good organizational skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Very strong communication skills |
