Manages the
day-to-day functions involved in providing
customer service and inventory objectives of the
organizations, to include safety stock levels,
master planning VMI services to our customers,
and monitoring the ability of the plants to
execute the plans developed. Leads the teams
that set master production plans in conjunction
with our customer service and inventory goals
for both packaging and manufacturing plants.
Leads our VMI planning team, which provides this
service to Company’s major customers and sales.
Reports progress to the organization concerning
inventory and customer service. Keeps metrics,
and reports the results, which includes the
following: Inventory turns reporting, Customer
Service levels by customer and by plant, and
Schedule adherence by the plant. Monitors
purchasing plans established by the plant
planning teams to make sure they stay within
budget guidelines. Works with the plant planning
and purchasing team on delivery issues from our
suppliers. Monitors system(s) used by multiple
teams to assure that our system is being used
correctly and to its fullest capability. Manage
personnel issues within both the manufacturing
and packaging P&IC Teams.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Business
Administration, or related field. APICS
Certification is also required. 10 years of
related experience in consumer goods, including
planning and inventory control. Systems
implementation experience is a plus. Ability to
effectively communicate verbally and in written
English. Demonstrated organizational skills.
Strong Excel skills. Ability to present complex
information clearly to all levels of management.
