Job Description:
Qualified candidate will provide leadership in the management of capital projects focusing on capacity increase, process optimization, risk mitigation, and compliance improvements. Candidate will lead projects from conceptual design through construction, commissioning, and validation and be responsible for creating and adhering to project budgets and schedules, performing work in accordance with internal SOPs and good Engineering Practices, and ensuring compliance with the following regulations: cGMP, MIOSHA, EPA, DEQ, and all other applicable State and Federal codes. Must work well within teams and be effective in leading meetings with the customer, other project stakeholders, and external consultants during all phases of the project. Job function also includes preparation of design packages & specifications, RFPs, design review, vendor/contractor selection, constructability reviews, approval of submittals, and preparation and oversight of validation and regulatory submissions. Other less frequent tasks include technical support for Maintenance, process engineering, authoring PMs, SOPs, commissioning protocols, and conducting training for new equipment installations. Less than 10% travel is expected for performing FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and attending seminars.

Years of Experience:
8+ years of project management experience in a cGMP environment.

Special Skills Required:
Strong process engineering background, fermentation experience, management of facilities, HVAC projects, Building Management Systems, and PMP certification is a plus, but not a requirement. Light lifting not to exceed 50 lbs.

Educational Requirement:
BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
